Pipes - "Loud Pipes Save Lives" - they say, and I say they're right! How many times it happened to you that you were filtering through the traffic on your Harley® or custom bike, pulled the throttle and the geezer in his Ford mondeo nearly jumped out the seat through his skylight? Well, it happened to me a few times and you know what? The geezer didn't make a jump because you scared him but because he wasn't paying attention what's going on around him so he never had a clue about you approaching from the rear. If you didn't pull that throttle he may have changed the lane without looking or signalling and that’s you on the road mate. Though I have straight through custom pipes myself, be careful when choosing yours, you know, MOT! No silencers = No MOT. Or at least keep the original ones to re-fit them before you take your customised Harley® for the test. There is a massive selection of Exhaust pipes for Harley Davidsons on the market today from some great names like SuperTrapp, Hooker, Kerker, Cycle Shack, just to mention a few. The choice is endless and it’s yours but if you don’t wanna take the risk of failing on MOT test go for a pair of EU approved pipes.
