B6265
Ripon to Harrogate
From A1 junction 48 (Boroughbridge), head into Ripon on the B6265. Carry on thru Ripon on the B6265 towards Pateley Bridge. Cracking scenery on sunny evenings and nice dips, corners and straights. Watch out for side roads, prone to having cars pulling out of them. Stay on B6265 thru Pateley Bridge and go up Greenhow Hill. Take left turn signposted Harrogate and enjoy another several miles of open road over 'The Tops'. BEWARE...this road is occasionally monitored by the dreaded unmarked Impreza as a couple of riders have met their maker on this stretch before...Join A59 turning left towards Harrogate.

A170
Helmsley to Scarborough
Helmsley is a market town lying on the A170 from Thirsk to Scarborough. The road is mostly 60 limit, quiet and predominantly plod free, road surface is smooth and sticky. Plenty glorious fast sweepers and good straights. Great scenery (if you get time to look). Not too many villages along the way so fairly hazard free. Helmsley market place is a locally renowned gathering point for all walks of biker on summer weekends (mainly Sunday afternoons) and theres always loads of bikes on the Scarborough sea front at the other end of the journey. Plenty alternative routes if you fancy a change on the way back. That corner of North Yorkshire is packed with good biking roads other than this, explore!

A6108
Thirsk
Leave Thirsk on A168 to Northallerton. Watch this stretch as it's close to Kirby Wiske where the Police headquarters are.....abundance of Hedge Twitchers in Volvo's..etc, etc. Go straight thru Northallerton high street over level crossing and turn left at the mini roundabout onto the B6271. Enjoy sweeping bends as you pass thru Yafforth, Great Langton and Ellerton on way to Richmond. Go thru Richmond on the A6108 towards Leyburn. Some sharp bends here, but good scenery again. Thru Leyburn and stay on the A6108 thru Middleham, East Witton, Masham and into Ripon. Exercise some caution on this Leyburn/Ripon stretch as they regularly dowse the road in that bloody awful and downright dangerous gravel covering on tar....Loose chippings on some corners. Upon reaching Ripon, turn left on A61 to Thirsk for a quick blat home.

A537
Macclesfield to Buxton
The Cat & fiddle is the best.Tight hairpins for kneedown action (although it slows you down),short straights where you can wring your bikes neck, fast double apex bends all interlinked to give you the top buzz when you get it right. The best time to do your laps are on long summer nights when the traffic is light, its like the TT. Due to too much press & fatalities the road is dogged by police & traffic at weekends. But if this is the only time you can come up,watch out for a unmarked green BMW car along with unmarked BMW bikes as well as a plane to spoil your fun. If you do get bored or you've just scared your self silly there are more top runs not far away such as A5004 Buxton to Whaley Bridge (watch out for some tight ones),and A535 Chelford to Holmes Chapel (very fast) to name just a few. Hope this is some help ENJOY.
